Panzer General Online is a Free-to-play Card Collecting MMORPG, estrategy game for browswes developed by Ubisoft.

In Panzer General Online players are the general of their own army fighting for either the German axis or the Allied Forces, the core element of the title is a card collecting MMO where players must use strategy and tactics to defeat enemy AI and real-world players. The principle of the game is for players to build up their own forces, traditionally seen as being a deck in other games of this genre, and building up their units and action command cards as per their preferred strategy style. Panzer General Online is a completely free to play MMO and can be accessed directly through your favourite web browsers without the need for a client download.

Set during World War II players will be able to experience and exciting PvE campaign where they play key roles in the primary combat engagements of the war, such as the Normandy landings were players must take the part of the German axis defending the beaches as the Allied Forces invade. However, the mainstay of the game is PVP focused combat between players and the battle of wits, tactics and experience. Strategy begins before players even step onto the battlefield, each one responsible for building their own army that consists of a variety of different troops from infantry, armoured vehicles, aircraft and more, each unit having their own unique token and stats. Typically a units will have an attack value, shield value and counter attack value that determines how it is best used in battle (such as the machine gun turret having zero attack value but a high counter attack value making it an ideal unit to use defensively).

Units are randomly assigned to the field of play, a battle map made up of three different lanes each one having their own terrain modifiers to help or hinder the player Generals. At each end of the battlefield is the player’s headquarters that protects there General, the key to victory is destroying the General by reducing their hit points/command points or eliminating all of his troops. Players are able to move their troops around the battlefield, switching lanes, changing positions of units and pushing forward to the “front line”, the middle point of the map that players are unable to cross. Other than eliminating the enemy units a key strategy is to clear a direct line of sight path from a player’s units directly to the enemy headquarters at the back of each lane that has no opposition units blocking the path.

As well is units each general has a number of command cards that enable them to perform attacks and special manoeuvres to seal victory, the more powerful the manoeuvre the higher the cost of command points; a resource pool that directly affects the amount of health general has done so use of such powerful attacks must be used wisely lest it weakens the General too much to give the enemy and easy victory.
