In GoKickOff players are able to manage a soccer/ football team in this free to play browser-based football manager MMO, where you will start off with your own team of low-level players and have to work hard, making strategic choices and building up your squad to climb the ranks of the league tables. Playing against thousands of other players you will be able to make your way into the higher leagues, compete in a variety of different cup tournaments and build up your squad and club in this challenging, social and competitive MMO game.

Building up your squad and bringing in new players is vital to being successful in the game, new players can come from a number of different places, most commonly the player transfer market, but also by training up players in your youth academy and promoting them to the first team. Each player has their own profile and stats to show their strengths and their weaknesses, a good club manager is able to identify which players will be a good match for their team and most importantly whether they are worth investing both time and money. Managers are able to identify a player’s potential and how likely they can perform in the future with appropriate training. Using scouts managers can also check out players and try to get them through the transfer market, whilst also getting a sneaky look at their competitors’ squad in action.

Away from the pitch the managers must handle every element of the club itself, including the various facilities that can be built and upgraded to benefit the club and players directly in a variety of ways. From fitness centres, training grounds and player rooms that will individually give different benefits to your squad members, to commercial ventures such as Megastores, bars and hotels that will bring in more money to the club, as well as expanding your stadium to increase spectator capacity, which will also bring more cash into the team.

The main purpose of the game is to climb the ranks through the various national leagues, each league of 15 teams is made up of people from the same country, where in a season every team will play each two match against each rival team, both at the away stadium and then at home. At the seasons’ end the two teams with the most points will be promoted into the next highest league, however the six unfortunate teams at the bottom are relegated into the next lower division. Cup tournaments are available for all clubs of all leagues to enter in a simple knockout competition, as well as a World Cup made up of the best teams from each country’s top league.
