Genre Type: F2P MMO Strategy / Empire Building Platform Accessibility: Web Browser Development By: Kabam Step into a world of fantasy in Dragons of Atlantis, where men and women rise as leaders of a doomed world where they must put their hope and faith in the dragons that protect them. A free to play browser MMO players are tasked with gathering resources, training an army, spreading their borders, breeding mighty dragons and and fighting against their rivals in PVP. The game will provide a strategic challenge to players who will have to manage their time and resources and work on their diplomatic skills as they create trade partners, allies, enemies and conduct in espionage against them all. Starting out with an initial city the main purpose of the game is to climb the ranks and increase your overall power level, this is done by expanding your empire and settling new outposts, building up a formidable army and training up all manner of exotic and deadly dragons! Initially players must focus on managing and acquiring resources that are required to build, train and maintain every aspect of their Empire; acquired through production buildings, completing challenges or through force by engaging in combat with enemy AI or other real world players. Constructing an army has various requirements, starting with construction of specific buildings such as the Garrison but also the Science Centre which will allow players to research new technologies that allow them to unlock more varied and more powerful units. Constructing buildings, researching technologies and training units all takes time, from minutes to hours, as well as initial resource costs and ongoing maintenance; so players must be mindful at all times of their time and resources. Once an army has been made players can send them to enemy outposts or abandoned wilderness to try and claim them or raid them; the combat is automated and the algorithms work out who won the battle based off each attacking and defending armies’ power, which is determined by army size and unit composition. When fighting players are also able to use dragons as weapons of war, initially just to defend territory such as the initial Keep Dragon that each player starts with, but soon they can bring these mighty beasts into battle as they begin their raids. New dragons can be purchased from the shop with Rubies, the premium currency bought with real money that also allows you to acquire resources quickly or finish building/training queues instantly, but dragons can also be hatched by acquiring powerful resources unique to certain areas that will unlock unique dragons. Alternatively players can use the Sanctuary to breed their own dragons and make new hatchlings; with a new Dragon Egg players can begin to hatch it by claiming a specific territory needed for that egg and then hatch it. By spending resources and time players slowly upgrade their dragons making them more powerful and unlocking abilities that will help them in battle depending on the type of dragon that they have bred.
